Mission
MA•GAIA is a community of women frame drummers reclaiming and celebrating the creative power of the frame-drumming circle. Guided by the clear rhythmic sound of the frame drum, it empowers women to remember the sense of joy and responsibility, focus and clarity, enthusiasm and beauty, strength and wisdom that have always been within us.
Vision In remembrance and honor of all women frame drummers who came before us, we envisage the manifestation of an ever-growing circle of women drummers that spirals out, creating ripples of clear sound that uplift and inspire. Symbolic of the cycles of nature, with no beginning and no end, no division and no sides, the circle is a space were women come together as equals, bringing the gifts of their individuality for the benefit of the unified whole. |
